Rowena Aragon Pebeahsy Hebah of Fort Washakie

FORT HALL, Idaho - Funeral services for Rowena Aragon Pebeahsy Hebah, 58, will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Fort Hall, Idaho. Interment will in the Mission Cemetery in Fort Hall.

Traditional Indian services were held April 15, 2007, at the family residence in Fort Washakie.

She died April 14, 2007, at her home at Fort Washakie.

She was born Feb. 22, 1949, in Fort Washakie, the daughter of the late Peter Aragon Sr., and Lucinda Hereford.

She attended schools at Mill Creek, St. Stephens, Haskell Indian School in Kansas and attended Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.

In her younger years, she lived at Fort Washakie and for the past 25 years, she resided at Fort Hall, Idaho.

She enjoyed doing crafts, beading, sewing, reading and being with her family, friends and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her spouse, Wally Hebah; daughters and their husbands, Raquel Pebeahsy-Meyers and Cathy Pebeahsy-Groesbeck; sons, Preston W. Smith and his wife, Loren Smith and Douglas Urban and his wife; sisters, Juanita Urban, Catherine Dorance, Beverly Thomas and Regina Sage; brothers, Don and Oliver Aragon; 10 grandchildren and numerous aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Nathan Lee Pebeahsy; mother-in-law, infant son, sisters, Pauline Tidzump, E. Julia Smith, Linda Romero, Clara Laroque, Susie, Elaine and Anitta Aragon; brothers, Lawrence, Pete Jr., Charles and John Aragon; grandparents, Jesus and Juanita Aragon, John and Julia Herford and John Trujillo; aunts and uncles.

Services are provided by Wind Dancer Funeral Home of Fort Washakie.
